Who is Graciela Carrión?

I am Colombian. I was born in the city of Santafé de Bogotá, the land of emeralds and pre-Columbian jewellery traditions.

Out of a love of adventure I emigrated and spent my years and my studies in Italy, the land of design, style and beauty, where I also obtained Italian citizenship.

After studying interior design and jewellery design in Milan, I founded my first atelier, POPORO, next to the Duomo di Milano.

There I spent 20 years learning and gaining experience alongside great master goldsmiths and renowned design houses.

I have been living in Helvetia for 10 years and with PHOENIX SCHMUCK I am opening a new chapter, with a different style, a different spirit and a different era. But I always remain myself.

From 2025 onwards I have decided to show my face and take a risk.

After obtaining Swiss citizenship, a radical change begins, so that my company will now also bear my name.

From now on, Graciela Carrión – ART & JEWELLERY marks a new creative chapter in my life. I hope to go on surprising you with my work and with my way of living.

A unique journey through a thousand stories…

Are we a beautiful, blank book that fills its pages every day with our comings and goings? For me, yes. For me, yes – and I try to fill my pages with colours and textures, with all the tones, intensities and structures that our wonderful Mother Nature gives us.

I use all the components available to me, the joyful ones as much as the undefined, sad and sombre ones. Each of my combinations in my research into materials and techniques aims for authenticity as a result, and for every piece to be non-reproducible – to bear the hallmark of a one-of-a-kind creation.

Craft and artistic work are always closely bound up with emotion and passion and reflect the personality of the maker in an absolute way. And I always recognise myself in my works and in the moment in which they came into being.

It fills me with pride time and again when I see how each of my pieces connects harmoniously with a particular type of person. Because every creation communicates in its own way, and we all love to be different and special and to be part of that difference. That is the great significance of signature jewellery.

Creating pieces with spirit – pieces that contain a “how” and a “why”, pieces that express a profound message in an individual way, bringing together technique, precision, material, the goldsmith’s art and my clients’ desire to feel, to be and to express themselves.

I wish you, dear viewer, a wonderful journey through this vision of my collections, presented by my Trilogies and my most beloved collection, “Tagua”.
